A student team of the Magdeburg association SIFE (Students in free enterprise), a worldwide student organization with more than 100 universities engaging in social and economic development, implemented the project "School of Life" with the support of A.T. Kearney consultants. The students developed a concept for the foundation of private non-profit schools in Asmara/ Eritrea and encouraged the foundation of the "German-Eritrean Society". The students represented Germany with this project at the annual SIFE World Cup in New York under the sponsorship of the Minister Wieczorek-Zeul and competed against 40 SIFE teams worldwide.
