In the context of "Model G8 Germany", an international organization (NGO) was founded with the objective to ensure the sustainable organization and realization of the G8-Youth Summit. The G8-Youth Summit is realized on an annual basis complementing the G8-Summit of the Heads of State/Heads of Government. Overriding objective of the Youth Summit is to make current topics of international politics and diplomacy accessible to the youth and to sustainably contribute to political education. In the context of the project, which was supported by A.T. Kearney, a student team of several German universities developed a business plan and a concept for the organization and processes of the new NGO and a fundraising concept.
